Dental Crowns and Bridges
Dental Crowns play many roles in many of our procedures. They can be used to cap a tooth that has broken or decayed, as dental bridges to replace missing teeth, and to cover misshapen or severely discolored teeth. Dental crowns are made to look just like normal teeth and are cemented into place to ensure that they function just like natural teeth. Recent advances in crowns ensure that teeth look life like. No longer do crowns have unsightly grey/blue edges.
Crown technology has changed significantly in the recent past. We use all porcelain crowns so there is no metal layering. We also use zirconia in most cases. It has always been the strongest, but now it is also just as beautiful as other porcelains . We have chosen to not make our crowns while you wait. We feel strongly about using zirconia, which would take quite a long to time fabricate in office, so we ask that you give us time to give you the strongest crown. If you need your crown on quickly we can usually get it done in just a few days if you let us know.
